Anytime money-back guarantee and refund policy
1. Requesting a refund
To request a refund, log in to your account and open a support ticket under the Cancellation and Refunds category. Before submitting your request, please back up and download any data you need, since your account and its contents are permanently removed once the refund is processed.
2. Coverage
This guarantee applies to active hosting subscriptions and does not extend to domain registrations or add-ons such as dedicated IPs, SSL certificates, or control panel licenses. It covers shared hosting and VPS plans. Dedicated servers follow a separate cancellation and refund process, outlined in the Dedicated server cancellations section.
You can request a refund at any point while your account is in good standing, there’s no fixed window you need to act within. Refunds are void if your account has been suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
3. Usage based adjustments
If you’ve used more than 50% of your allocated resources, or more than 20GB of total bandwidth, whichever threshold is higher, by the time you request a refund, we may adjust your refundable amount to reflect that usage. Refunds for fully used billing periods are issued as account credit rather than cash. Credit doesn’t expire and can be applied to any future FireVM service.
4. How refunds are calculated
For monthly plans, we refund the portion of your service that hasn’t been used yet, rounded up to the next full month.
For quarterly, semi-annual, annual, biennial, or triennial plans, we calculate the used portion of the subscription at our standard monthly rate, rather than the discounted rate that came with the longer-term plan. Whatever remains after that calculation is refunded. This means the discount tied to a subscription’s length only applies to the period actually used, not the period being refunded.
5. Bundled and promotional items
If your VPS plan includes a control panel license, or other bundled add-ons like a dedicated IP, SSL certificate, or private name servers, and you cancel before your renewal date, the value of those items will also be deducted from your refund.
If your plan included a free domain registration as part of a promotion, the cost of that domain registration will be deducted from your refund. You’ll keep full ownership of the domain and can continue using or renewing it going forward.
6. Dedicated server cancellations
Dedicated servers follow their own cancellation terms:
- Refunds don’t cover the current billing cycle already in progress.
- If you’ve prepaid for future months, we’ll refund the unused prepaid months, provided you cancel at least 15 days before your next renewal date. The refund covers everything from the start of your next billing cycle onward.
- Cancellations must be submitted at least 15 days before your next billing cycle. If you miss this window, your next renewal will still be charged.
