Network information
Here’s an inside look at the facilities we run on, how we keep things redundant, and how we watch over every server we manage, day and night.
How we’re built
Our infrastructure runs on Tier III and above data center facilities, engineered with redundant power, networking, and cooling systems for continuous uptime and no single point of failure. We colocate across multiple established, carrier neutral providers, including Equinix, SummitHQ, and Zayo, giving us reach into some of the most connected facilities in the industry while keeping full control over every layer of server configuration, patching, and monitoring ourselves.
Multi region by design
We don’t concentrate capacity in one city or with one provider. FireVM’s footprint spans facilities across multiple regions internationally, so if one location runs into a localized issue, the rest of the network keeps running like nothing happened. Every facility we use is staffed 24x7x365 with on site technical personnel, not a remote NOC picking up the phone from somewhere else.
Facility infrastructure
Every facility we operate in is built so that no single piece of hardware can bring things down:
Network and carrier diversity
We don’t lean on a single upstream provider. Our facility partners are some of the most densely interconnected in the world, giving us access to a large pool of network service providers and redundant routing paths across continents. If one carrier or route has a problem, traffic just moves to another path, and you never notice.
How we watch your server
An uptime ping from the outside can only tell you a server responded. It can’t tell you why it’s slow, and it won’t catch a problem building before it turns into an outage. That’s why we run our own internal monitoring, Radar Telemetry, on every server we manage, checking in every 60 seconds, watching the things an external ping simply can’t see, like CPU, memory, disk, load, and drive health. If something crosses a threshold, our team gets alerted right away, and most of the time we’re already working on it before you’ve noticed anything.
You get to see all of this yourself too, in real time, with no login gymnastics and no waiting on a support ticket to know what’s happening with your own server.
If something goes wrong
In the rare case of a wider network or power issue, you won’t be left refreshing a status page wondering what’s happening. Our team gets alerted the moment monitoring flags an issue, we work directly with the facility to fix it, and we post updates to our announcement channel as things develop, with email alerts if you’re subscribed.
If it’s your specific server rather than a wider issue, we don’t wait for you to notice or open a ticket. We’ll reach out to you directly over WhatsApp and keep you posted as we work on it.
